Frequently Asked Questions
What can I do if I miss an examination?
The first thing you should do is written application letter and provide valid evidence along with it and submit it to the Programme Coordinator’s office or the Department Head immediately after an incident. The College will then check the submitted documents along with the evidence. If you are granted a permission, you will be allowed to take the make-up examination.
For a one-time make-up examination, for all subjects, the amount of payment required is:-
- For a postgraduate student ETB 1,300
- For an undergraduate student ETB 600
On what subjects/courses should I be prepared in for the entrance examination?
For any student who is interested in joining Santé Medical College, the entrance examination will comprise the following:-
- For Undergraduate
English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry
- For Postgraduate
Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Research and
- For specific tracks,
Program related topics (Eg. For Public Health Nutrition, nutrition related subjects, for Reproductive Health (RH), RH-related subjects such as Family Planning, Child Health, Adult Health, etc.…)
After taking entrance examinations, the candidate will sit for an interview as part of the evaluation and assessment.
After joining the College, as long as the student does not withdraw, is any registration payment required?
Yes, there is a registration payment at the beginning of each semester or year (depending on the program/department) at the amount of ETB 500.
Is it a requirement to take entrance examination when I join Sante Medical College?
Yes, it is a requirement to take an entrance examination.
Do you have dormitory?
No. we don’t have dormitory.
What does Santé Mean, why apostrophe on it and is it a French word?
A French word and its meaning is the state of being well. French Language apply ‘(apostrophe sign) in most of their words
